Job Description:
The Camping Association of the Presbyteries of Northwestern Pennsylvania (CAPNWP) seeks an energetic person to fill the fulltime position of Executive Director of its Christian camping program. The person in this position works with the Board of Directors in directing the mission and ministry of the organization. Some of the main duties include: recruiting, training and supervising staff; participating in program development and implementation; ensuring compliance with American Camping Association (ACA) standards; marketing the facilities and programs; supporting the organization’s financial stability through varied fund-raising methods; reviewing and redefining mission, staffing, and programs; and supervising the summer program at one of the camps. Qualified individuals will have a commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; a bachelor’s degree in camp ministry, Christian education, business administration, or related field; effective leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills; computer competency; a valid driver’s license; Act 33 and 34 clearances; and the ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the job.
